I am finally getting around to updating after taking some new pictures on Friday. For whatever reason, I decided to try my hand at some impromptu food porn. I’ve been looking at Food Gawker for quite a while now and I wanted to try and see if I could take images like some of the best that I’ve seen. I happened to have a Twix bar at my desk and the light in my office was diffused enough that I could take a couple of good shots, or so I hoped. I took around a dozen or so.
Below are 2 the turned out alright. Yes, I know that I need a macro lens and a reflector would have done some good, but I used what I had. They were taken with a Canon T1i with a 18-135mm lens, f 8.0, shutter speed 1/125.
I even got the caramel strand.

I’m heading down to NYC this weekend. YAY! This is the first time I’ve traveled with someone else since I went with my aunt almost 2 years ago. It should be a lot of fun since we are taking the train. He’s only been one other time, so we are off to be tourists. I’m not sure he’s even seen the inside of Grand Central Terminal. I should have some good pictures to share next week. Hopefully, the weather hold up.
Oh, and Sprinkles Cupcakes opens on Lexington Ave by Bloomie’s in NYC on Friday. Must. Get. Cupcake!
